• SureSmile digital orthodontic system — Dr. Hayward was the first orthodontist in and around Palatine and Barrington, Illinois to offer SureSmile. This state-of-the-art system provides Dr. Hayward with 3-D images of your teeth to help him create a computerized treatment plan and custom archwire prescription. A high-tech robotic process fabricates your “shape-memory alloy” archwire, which matches your treatment plan with pinpoint precision. Once placed, the archwire will move your teeth directly where they need to go. • Damon System of self-ligating braces — Unlike traditional braces, which involve tying archwires in with elastic ties, the Damon System features a “sliding door” that holds a superelastic archwire in place, allowing it to slide freely back and forth. This results in greater patient comfort because there is less pressure on the teeth. Self-ligating braces align your teeth more quickly and with less discomfort than traditional braces. Plus, they require fewer adjustments, which means your number of office visits will be reduced.
• Invisalign — This is a revolutionary way of straightening teeth without metal wires or brackets. Invisalign works through a series of clear, comfortable aligners that you can remove whenever you eat, drink, brush or floss. Candidates for Invisalign include adults and mature teens.
